My first Lay Bare experience on Brazilian waxing was something that I did not expect since truthfully, I thought that it would be super painful and unbearable thinking it’s my first attempt on that particular procedure. I was greeted by happy staffs and they immediately guided me into the waxing room. I opted to go to the washing area first and got ready for my exciting treatment.By the way, I got the Full Body wax package so they had to initially wax my legs and arms, my underarms weren’t an excuse either. They also removed unnecessary facial hair like the fine hair above my upper lip.
I would want to commend the extremely satisfactory service of the attendants. They were well-equipped and well-trained. I never caught a hint of sloppiness by the way they performed the whole process! Their hands were fast I could barely feel the pain of the hair being pulled out from the different areas of my body.
Now here’s the most awaited part… the Brazilian Wax!

What I first thought was very painful and awkward and overwhelming turned out to be just “whatnots”. Because to my astonishment, this was what actually happened… *watch the video π https://youtu.be/FJBNzqFqiuo
Easy, quick and flawless process!
These are based on my personal experience though as you can see in the video. Was it painful? We have different pain tolerance, but one thing that I can assure you is that Lay Bare does it professionally and does everything to make you feel at ease and relaxed.
It took them less than an hour to finish the Full Body Wax and I was so satisfied with the output they gave. Other than the skills, they have a very clean and relaxing ambiance.
After the treatment, I took the time to ask the accommodating attendants regarding what products they used, particularly during the Brazilian Waxing session. Those are the following:
- Special Powder – for the wax to stick and stay longer on the skin
- Cold Wax – the “star ingredient” of the waxing procedure
- Soothing Cream – applying this will help subside the redness
Here are some of the benefits of Cold Waxing:
I kept a photo of this Post Waxing Care must do’s so I could follow. You’ll make use of this too after your own waxing treatment. (I suggest you bookmark this page)
Lastly, the good thing about Lay Bare is that they already have all the essentials that you’ll need to maintain it. You can just pick your own favorites from here:
Feel free to ask the friendly staffs what products are perfect for you.

I don’t think I am ready for a Brazilian wax
You gotta think it’s not scary at all. π
Yikes. This terrifies me. Maybe I’ll become brave enough to try it sometime.
Haha I know the thought of it seemed terrifying but promise, it’s worth the try. You’ll never want to miss a single session afterwards. π
I feel like I want to have a Brazilian wax… hahahahah
Hahaha You should! You’ll def love it as I did. π
I have such a low pain tolerance that I don’t think I could ever do this! hahaha!!
Hahaha You should reconsider. Pain is just in the mind. π
Yikes. I don’t think I could get one.
You’ll love its after feels definitely! Worth the try π
You are brave! Iβve never even had my eyebrows waxed so Iβm not at this level yet!
Thanks! You should give it a try some time. π
Thanks for allowing us to experience Brazilian waxing through your visit to the salon.
Most welcome!
I mean of course if you go to professionals the experience should be pleasant enough, it all depends, some people might not have such a pleasant experience, but after all that you wrote and the video, this is probably one of the better studios, I will however stay away from brazillian waxing for some time still
That’s okay. Sometimes you feel ready for something and sometimes you’re just pulled away by some ‘fear’ thought and that’s totally okay. But since I’ve shared this already I’ll tell you it’s definitely worth it. I’m off to getting my next sesh done. π
Actually I have been curious with Brazilian wax. Though I think I am not ready for that yet. But thanks for all sharing your experience.
That’s exactly what I thought at first and I’m really glad I did!
I’ve always wanted to do this, just haven’t got around to it yet.
Hopefully you get it during your “Me” time, it’s really cool and liberating in a sense. I love it. π
It sounds useful but painful at the same time. I couldn’t bare doing a Brazilian wax as I can’t face the ripping of wax on my skin.
I think it always also have to do with mindsetting since the more you think it’s painful, the more you think it becomes scary to you when it’s actually not. I believe we all are unique and everything just depends on our intention. π
I always love, when I read about these waxes, but the pain…. OMG.
Hahaha you’ll get through it and by then, you’ll keep on coming back. No wonder why celebrities love Brazilian waxing ’cause it’s really good.
Iβm very scared of waxing π ππ» But the benefits are a lot I hope I get the strength to try it out!
Should recommend this to my ladies. Thanks!
I m terrified thinking of waxing. But thank you for sharing your experience
You are very brave to do this. Thanks for sharing your experience
Iβve always wanted to get a Brazilian wax done but Iβm not quite sure I am there yet
I just can’t.. I mean it scares the hell out of me . You have the strength and courage
There was time when they were super popular and everyone I know wanted to try it at least once. So did I. It was fine and not as painful as I imagined, but I won’t do it again.
