The story revolves around a rich man who bore two sons. His younger son was greedy and asked for his father’s inheritance. When he was denied, he moved away to a faraway place. He started to feel hungry and went to work in a rich man’s house for money. Unfortunately, the only job there was to feed the pigs, and thus the boy had no other option but to agree to take up the job.
The job was tedious, and he started to miss home. He used to hardly get anything to eat. He realized that even his father’s servants used to eat better than him now. He then made up his mind to go back to his father and ask him for forgiveness. He begged his father to forgive him and asked his father to take him back as a servant. The father, however, was pleased when he saw that his son had returned. He forgave his son and welcomed him with a grand feast. He did not make his son a servant but just thought that he had lost his son, whom he has found back now.
The story teaches kids that God loves all equally. God forgives the wrongdoers if one realizes their mistake and is ready to ask for forgiveness. God is caring and absolves all our sins if we confess. He does not hold back on our past mistakes.
- Noah and the Ark

When people reached the land of Babylon, they decided to settle in this place and build a tower that would be so high that it could reach the sky.
People became proud, and they created this tower because they wanted to reach the same level as God. This pride, however, led to the downfall of humans. When God came into the city and saw what people were doing, he became angry. He decided to stop their project right away by ensuring that nobody understood the other. He made all of them speak a different language, so one could not understand his neighbors.
People wanted to communicate with each other, but they started to babble when they spoke their language. So slowly, people formed groups of those who spoke a similar language, and they began to spread out across the world. It is how the Tower Of Babel got its name.
It was the people’s pride that led to their downfall. It is thus essential to be humble to God and respect him.

- Birth of Christ
The story took place some 2000 years back. Mary was a young woman who lived in the town of Nazareth. She was once visited by Gabriel, who was an angel. Gabriel told Mary that she would bear a son whose name would be Jesus, and he would be the son of God.
Mary was a Jewish lady and was engaged to a man named joseph. When Mary told the news to Joseph, he felt hurt and was confused about Mary bearing a child. The angel Gabriel then visited Joseph and told him that Mary would bear God’s son and give birth to a boy named Jesus who would come on Earth to save the people from their sins.
During this time, the Roman emperor declared a census of all the people which had to be taken in their hometown. Thus Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem. She rode on a donkey for many days and arrived in Bethlehem. However, when Mary and Joseph reached Bethlehem, there was no place for them to stay. All the inns were full. Moreover, Mary was due to deliver any moment. Seeing her condition, the owner of an inn gave Mary and Joseph a place in his stable.
The stable had animals sleeping everywhere. Mary and Joseph settled down, and soon Mary went into labor. She gave birth to Jesus in the stable. God’s son was born, and the only place he could sleep was in the manger, the trough used for animals.
An angel appeared in front of the shepherd and told them about Jesus. The angels were happy because the savior was born. The shepherds immediately went towards the manager to see the baby, Jesus.
Three wise men or the Magi saw the brilliant star shining in the sky and knew that Jesus was born. They traveled from the eastern country all the way to meet their new king. The wise men went to Bethlehem and found Jesus precisely where the star was pointing. They knelt and worshiped their God and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
The birth of Jesus is thus celebrated as Christmas.

God is capable of doing miracles that open up our eyes and let us worship his power. He gave the food to the disciples, and the disciples distributed it to the people. All of them ate with satisfaction. The disciples also picked up twelve baskets of leftover pieces. The total number of people who ate the food was 5000, which also included women and children.
The miraculous feeding of 5000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fishes shows that Jesus is indeed a messiah.

King Darius was the ruler of Babylon and had several men working for him to help him to lead and govern. Daniel was the advisor, and he believed in God truly and followed the commands of the Lord. The other men serving the king did not like Daniel, and they thus thought of a way to get rid of Daniel.
The men were aware that Daniel served the Israel god. So they asked King Darius to frame a law where people were allowed only to worship the king. If anyone worshipped any God apart from the king, they would be thrown in a lion’s den and become the food of the starving lions.
Daniel was aware of the new law, but he was committed to the Lord. Daniel used to pray three times in the day with his windows wide open. The man saw Daniel praying and bought him to the king. The king was sad because he liked Daniel. However, the king could do nothing about it and ordered Daniel to be thrown in the lion’s den.
But the Israel God bestowed Daniel with a miracle and set him free from the lions’ den.
It was Daniel’s faith in his Lord that set him free.
The story teaches children to have complete faith in God because God will permanently save his believers.

- David and Goliath
Jesse had twelve sons. David was the youngest. One day the Israel nation was called and asked to fight the Philistine army, ready for a war. All of David’s brothers went to fight the war. David, however, stayed back.
The two armies stood on either side of the deep valley. Goliath was a giant from the Philistine side who was nine feet tall. For forty days, he stood and mocked the Israelites and their God. Finally, Goliath challenged them to fight, but the Israel army and their King Saul were hesitant, and they did nothing.
David was sent to the front lines by his dad to get news about the battle. When David reached the battlefront, he heard Goliath mocking the Israelis and their God. David stood brave and challenged Goliath to a fight. He asked King Saul to let him go and fight without wearing any armor. All that David took with him was his sling and five smooth stones.
Goliath made fun of the young David, but David was undeterred. He placed a rock in his sling and swung one right on Goliaths head. Goliath fell, and then David picked up the sword that belonged to Goliath and cut Goliaths head.
The Philistines saw their hero dead and ran back. Israel won the war because of David, who had complete trust in God.

Abraham is the father of nations. However, there was once a time when Abraham did not have any children.
Abraham was a firm believer in God and worked hard. Sadly he did not have any child. He wished for a son. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations. Abraham was happy and waited to father his child. But, years went by, and Abraham and his wife did not bear a son.
One day, three men came by and visited Abraham. Abraham treated them well and with great hospitality. These three men were God and his angels who had come to Abraham’s place in disguise. They told Abraham that the same time next year, he and his wife would have a son. However, his wife was old to have a child, so she did not believe them.
The Lord kept his promise, and the same time next year, Abraham and his wife were blessed with a son. The boy was named Isaac.

- The Fall of Jericho
The Israelites were saved from Egyptian rule, but they still had to make their way and reach the promised land.
Moses appointed Joshua to be his successor. Joshua loved God. God asked Joshua to prepare his people to be ready to cross the Jordan River to take over Jericho. Joshua sent two people as spies to hunt the city, and they were given shelter by a lady named Rahab. In return, she asked them to spare her and her family when they took over the city. Rehab helped the spies to escape out from the window on the other side.
God has told the people that a total of 12 priests should carry the arc which held the Ten Commandments and that everyone should march on the streets of Jericho every day for six days, beating their trumpets. On the seventh day, they had to march seven times. After the seventh round on the seventh day, the Jericho walls would crash down.
Joshua made his people listen to gods’ commands, and everything happened just as God had narrated. Joshua then remembered Rehab and took her as well as her family safe from the city. They then burnt the city of Jericho.
God will always walk before his children and give them victory in what they do.

- Hadassah
Hadassah is also known as Queen Esther. She was a bright and beautiful Jewish woman who the Lord chose to save his people from destruction.
This was during the reign of King Xerxes, who ruled the Persian Empire. He was looking desperately for a wife. All the eligible maidens were taken for a year to get beauty treatments so that they would be sent to the king to let him pick his wife.
Hadassha’s cousin Mordecai asked her to keep her original Jewish secret because people hated and mistrusted them. It is why Hadassha started to call herself Esther.
The king was charmed and picked Esther to be his wife. It was during this time that Haman, who was an evil man, convinced the king to kill all the Jews in his kingdom. When Mordecai heard of this plan, he sent a word to Esther and told her to speak to the king. But, it was forbidden for anyone to go before the king unless summoned. Else the person could be put to death.
Mordecai, however, told Esther to speak to the king because God had placed her in a position to save her people. So Queen Esther ordered all the Jews to fast for three days, and in the end, she went to the king.
The king was delighted with his wife and gladly held the scepter for her. She told him everything, and the king thus ordered Haman to be put to death. On the other hand, the Jewish people were given complete permission to defend themselves if anyone waged an attack on them. This is how Esther saved her Jewish community.
